Enabling persistent chat

Note: In preparation for ​​​​​​Microsoft's transition to UCMA 6, a future release of ​​​​​​BEMS​​​​ will incorporate UCMA 6 to maintain compatibility with ​​​​​​Skype for Business​​​​ Subscription Edition (SE) using ​​​​​​BlackBerry Connect​​​​. Support for UCMA 5 will be discontinued. Additionally, the persistent chat feature will be deprecated. Although the persistent chat will be deprecated, the functionality of the ​​​​​​BlackBerry Connect app will continue to function as expected without this feature.​

The persistent chat feature allows users to create topic-based discussion rooms and participate in rooms. If you enable persistent chat in Skype for Business, you can enable it in your BEMS environment.
