Edit a file

You can edit Microsoft Office files if you have permission to do so. The BlackBerry Workspaces Web Application launches the appropriate Microsoft Office app when you edit a file. If you have BlackBerry Workspaces for Windows, you can also open the files from your Workspaces sync folder and edit them.

If your organization is using Microsoft Office Online, you can edit the files in your browser. Any changes you make are saved automatically.

Install BlackBerry Workspaces for Windows.
  1. Browse to the Microsoft Office file in the content area and do one of the following:
    • Hover over the file and click Open in Microsoft <app name>.
    • Click The menu icon > Open in Microsoft <app name>.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • When prompted, open the BlackBerry Workspaces Launcher to open the file in the Microsoft Office app installed on your computer.
    • To open the file in your browser using Microsoft Office Online, click Open in Microsoft <app name> for the web.
  3. Make the necessary edits and save your changes.
