View files in the online viewer

You can use the online viewer to view Microsoft Office, .pdf, and image files in the browser. You must download other file types to view them. You can add comments and annotations and share them with users.

When you view a password-protected file, you are prompted to enter the password. Note the following limitations for password-protected files

  • Annotation buttons are hidden.
  • You may be prompted to enter the password again when you change between viewing modes.
  • Watermarks are not supported.
  • Password-protected documents cannot be sent to DocuSign.
  1. Browse to the content area, and do any of the following:
    • Click the filename.
    • Hover over the file and click View.
    • Click The menu icon > View.
  2. If the document is password-protected, enter the password and click Open.
  3. To maximize the viewer and open it in a new browser tab, click Maximize viewer on the viewer's title bar.
  4. Use the toolbar to complete the necessary actions.
