Edit a widget

You can edit a widget immediately after creating a new dashboard, or at any time you want to change the format data is displayed in an existing widget. The Edit widget dialog appears automatically when you add a new widget to a dashboard.

  1. At the top right corner of a widget, do any of the following:
    • Click The Refresh Widget Data icon to refresh the data displayed on the widget.
    • Click The Print Widget Data icon to print the data.
    • Click The Edit a Widget icon to open the Edit widget dialog.
  2. On the Edit widget dialog, do any of the following:
    • Change the title
    • Select data filters. You can select up to 5 filters for a widget. When a filter is applied to a widget, a The Widget Filter icon with the number of filters appears beside the widget title.
    • Display or hide a Big Number
    • Display or hide any of these charts:
      • The Vertical Bar Chart icon: Vertical bar chart
      • The Horizontal Bar Chart icon: Horizontal bar chart
      • The Line Chart icon: Line chart
      • The Pie Chart icon: Pie chart
    • Organize data by group and sub-group
    • Display or hide the data displayed in a table
  3. Hover over the top, left, or right edge of a widget and then click The Move Widget icon to reposition it anywhere on the dashboard.
  4. Click The Resize Widget icon at the bottom right corner of any widget to resize it.
  5. Optionally, for any widget that contains data displayed in a table, click the border between columns to to resize or move the column.
  6. Optionally, in any widget that contains data displayed in a table, click The Widget Table column icon at the bottom of any column and then click an option from the table column dialog that appears to perform any of the following actions:
    • The Widget Sort Column icon: Sort the column in ascending order.
    • The Widget Sort Column icon: Sort the column in ascending order.
    • The Pin Column icon: Pin the column to the left side of the table.
    • The Pin Column icon: Pin the column to the right side of the table.
    • The Hide Column icon: Hide the column.
    • The Manage Columns icon: Open the Manage columns dialog to show or hide any column in the table.
