Configure the
CylanceGATEWAY Connector
in the VM environment

The
CylanceGATEWAY Connector
is a minimal installation of the
Ubuntu
operating system, which can operate without a user logging in. You need to log in only if you want to update the default settings or verify that the OVA or VHD deployed correctly.
  1. Do one of the following to open the console in your environment.
    Environment
    Steps
    vSphere
    1. Log in to your environment.
    2. Click the host name of the
      CylanceGATEWAY Connector
      .
    3. Click
      Launch Remote
      or
      Launch Web Console
      .
    ESXi
    1. Log in to your environment.
    2. Click the host name of the
      CylanceGATEWAY Connector
      .
    3. Click
      Console
      .
    Microsoft Azure
    1. Sign in to the
      Microsoft Azure
      management portal at https:// portal.azure.com.
    2. Click
      Virtual machines
      .
    3. In the left column, in the
      Support + troubleshooting
      section, click
      Serial console
      .
    Hyper-V
    1. Open the
      Hyper-V
      Manager.
    2. Right-click the connector that you want to access
      > Connect
      .
  2. At the UNIX prompt, type the administrator username and press
    Enter
    .
    The default username is
    admin
    .
  3. Type the administrator password.
    The default password is
    admin
    .
  4. Complete any of the following actions:
    Task
    Steps
    Verify the network interface configuration. 
    Type
    sudo /var/lib/blackberry-gateway/scripts/configure-network --ovfenv --check
    . Press
    Enter
    . If you are prompted, enter the administrator password.
    Change the keyboard layout in the connector.
    By default,
    Ubuntu
    only supports US keyboard layouts.
    1. To select a new keyboard layout, type
      sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
      . Press
      Enter
      .
    2. If you are prompted, enter the administrator password.
    3. Follow the onscreen prompts.
