Install the SUSE agent manually

  • Download the
    CylancePROTECT Desktop
    installation files from the management console. Go to
    Settings > Deployments
    , select the
    CylancePROTECT
    product, the target operating system, the agent version, and the file type. Click
    Download
    .
  • Get the installation token from the management console. Go to
    Settings > Application
    .
  • Root permission is required to install the
    Linux
    agent.
  1. Run the following zypper command to install dependencies:
    zypper install glibc dbus-1 libopenssl1_1 libgcc_s1 libsqlite3-0 libz1 bzip2 libxml2-tools
  2. Create a configuration text file before installing the RPM. For more information, see Create a configuration file.
  3. For agent version 1590 or later, use the following command to install the SUSE open driver:
    rpm -ivh CylancePROTECTOpenDriver-version.rpm
  4. For agent version 1590 or later, use se the following command to install the SUSE agent driver:
    rpm -ivh CylancePROTECTDriver-version.rpm
  5. Use the following command to install the SUSE agent:
    rpm -ivh CylancePROTECT.version.rpm
  6. Use the following command to install the SUSE agent UI (optional):
    rpm -ivh CylancePROTECTUI.version.rpm
    Gnome 3 library, libgtk-3-0 may need to be installed manually prior to the agent UI installation.
    zypper install libgtk-3-0
