Send a reminder before a password expires
To send operators or users a reminder that their password is about to expire, complete the following steps. Only email reminders can be sent. Only one enabled email device can be selected. When this setting is configured, operators and users receive an email reminding them to update their password to prevent being locked out of their
BlackBerry AtHoc
account. This reminder email includes a link to update their password.This setting is configured by organization and is not inherited from super enterprise or enterprise organizations.
- In the navigation bar, click
. - In theSetupsection, clickSecurity Policy.
- On theSecurity Policyscreen, in thePassword Update Rulessection, select theRequire Password Reminderoption.
- Select an Email device from theDelivery Methodpull-down list. Only enabled Email devices are displayed.
- Select the days the reminder email is sent from thePassword Reminder Dayspull-down list.By default, reminder emails are sent 7, 5, 3, 2, and 1 day(s) before expiration. You can also select 4, 10, and 15 days.
