The Capacity Calculator for BlackBerry UEM is a simplified way of estimating sizing and configuration. The capacity and performance estimates are approximate and should be used only as guidelines.

The Calculator does not replace the need to monitor and adjust environments before, during, and after deployment.

The Calculator does not estimate sizing needed to support third-party tools or applications using externally released APIs, nor does it consider additional resource sizing needed for high availability and disaster recovery.

The estimates regarding CPU utilization and download times may not hold true for complex environments.

This capacity calculator provides an estimate of the hardware that is required to support a given workload for BlackBerry UEM. The outputs include a steady-state result, which is the resource usage averaged across the full processing shift, and a peak result, which is the average resource usage across the period with the heaviest workload. Instantaneous peaks may be higher than what the capacity calculator reports. The number of devices and workloads in the domain are always assumed to be evenly distributed over multiple identical standalone servers.

To determine the memory and disk space requirements for UEM, consider the number of devices that you plan to activate, the types of connections that the devices use, and the level and type of user activity on the devices.

This table shows which events are logged by the UEM server at the different logging levels. Logging levels will have increasing impact on server performance.
