Load-balancing data for BlackBerry 10
If you install multiple instances of
BlackBerry UEMin the same domain, data for
BlackBerry 10devices is load-balanced approximately equally across all healthy, running instances. For example, if you install three instances of
BlackBerry UEMand the domain includes 3000
BlackBerry UEMassigns approximately 1000 devices to each of the three running instances.
BlackBerry UEMload-balances when the number of devices on a specific server is more than 500 devices above the average device count per server.
You cannot manually assign
BlackBerry 10devices to a specific instance. The
BlackBerry Affinity Managerdetermines which instances manage
If an instance is temporarily unavailable, the remaining instances manage user and device data.
BlackBerry UEMinstance uses the same SRP ID and connects to the same
BlackBerry UEMdatabase. The components on each instance are all running and actively managing data for all device types, except for the
BlackBerry Affinity Managerand
BlackBerry Work Connect Notification Service. Only one instance of the
BlackBerry Affinity Managerand the
BlackBerry Work Connect Notification Serviceare active.
