Supported upgrade environments
When you upgrade to the latest version of
BlackBerry UEM, you upgrade the management console and the database.
The following are the supported upgrade paths to
BlackBerry UEMversion 12.15:
- You can use the setup application to upgradeBlackBerry UEMversion 12.13 or later toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.15. If you haveBES12version 12.5 or earlier, you must first upgrade all instances toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.8.1 (following supported upgrade paths) and synchronize the environment, then upgrade version 12.8.1 toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.10, then to version 12.12, and then to version 12.13 or 12.14 before you can upgrade toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.15.
- If you haveGood Controlversion 4.0 and later andGood Proxyversion 4.0 and later, you must first upgrade all instances toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.8.1, synchronize the environment, and then upgrade toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.10, then to version 12.12, and then to version 12.13 or 12.14 before you can upgrade toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.15.
- You can installBlackBerry UEMand migrate policy sets, connectivity profiles, app groups, app usage (for certificates), and certificates fromGood Control(standalone) version 5.0 toBlackBerry UEM.
- You can migrate IT policies, profiles, groups, users, and devices fromBES10toBlackBerry UEMversion 12.9 and then upgrade or migrate fromBlackBerry UEMversion 12.9 to version 12.11, and then upgrade or migrate to version 12.13, then upgrade or migrate to version 12.15.
If you are upgrading an environment that has activated
BlackBerry Dynamicsapplications on devices, connections to the application servers, including the mail server, will continue to supported. For example, the
BlackBerry Workapplication will continue to receive email during the upgrade.
BlackBerry Dynamicsapplications cannot be activated during the upgrade. All servers in the environment must be upgraded before any
BlackBerry Dynamicsapplications can be activated. Upgrade all servers in the environment within 24 hours of the first server upgrade.
