Installing or upgrading the BlackBerry Secure Connect Plus component in a cloud environment
BlackBerry Secure Connect Pluscomponent in a cloud environment
When you install the
BlackBerry Connectivity Node, the setup process also installs the
BlackBerry Secure Connect Pluscomponent on the same computer. If you upgrade the
BlackBerry Connectivity Nodeto the latest version and
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusis not installed, the upgrade process installs
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plus. If
BlackBerry Secure Connect Pluswas installed previously, the process upgrades
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusto the latest version.

BlackBerry UEM CloudConfiguration content. You must activate the
BlackBerry Connectivity Nodebefore you can enable
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plus.
You have the option to route the data that travels between
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusand the
BlackBerry Infrastructurethrough a TCP proxy server (transparent or SOCKS v5). You can configure the proxy settings using the
BlackBerry Connectivity Nodemanagement console (General settings > Proxy).
If you specify proxy information that is not valid,
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusstops running and cannot restart. If this issue occurs, correct the proxy information and restart the
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusservice in the
You can install a second
BlackBerry Connectivity Nodefor redundancy. Both instances of
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusrun and process data. Data is load-balanced across both instances. If a device is using a secure tunnel and the current
BlackBerry Secure Connect Plusinstance becomes unavailable, the
BlackBerry Infrastructureassigns the device to the other instance. The device resumes use of the secure tunnel with minimal disruption.
