When watermarks are displayed

Watermarks don't appear for users who uploaded the original document or for workspace administrators in the workspace where the document is located.

Watermarks display also depends on the viewing application. The following table describes when watermarks are displayed to users that are designated as watermark-viewers:

Note: If a user belongs to multiple groups and at least one group watermarks disabled, watermarks are not displayed.

When users view Microsoft Office documents in the Workspaces Online Viewer or on iOS and Android devices, watermarks are displayed. Watermarks are not supported when Microsoft Office documents are viewed in Microsoft Office applications.

When users view PDF documents in the Workspaces Online Viewer, on iOS and Android devices, or in a PDF viewer, watermarks are displayed.

When users view Microsoft Office or PDF documents on a Mac, watermarks are displayed diagonally only (even when set to Top or Bottom, displays as diagonal).
