Set sync policies

You can set the policies for files that are synchronized through the BlackBerry Workspaces app for Windows and the BlackBerry Workspaces app for Mac. For example, you can enable synchronization, make sure that files are protected, and restrict the file download and upload rates.

  1. In the left pane, click Sync.
  2. To enable synchronization of files on Windows devices using the BlackBerry Workspaces app, select Enable sync. File synchronization is enabled by default for Mac devices and cannot be disabled.
    If you disable synchronization, you can still enable synchronization for individual user accounts. If you disable synchronization later, files that are already synchronized are removed from the device.
  3. To make sure all files are protected when synced, in the General settings section, select Always download files as protected via Workspaces for Windows and Workspaces app for Mac.
  4. To specifythe upload rate, select the Limit download rate check box and type the rate limit in MB.
  5. To specify the download rate, select the Limit upload rate and type the rate limit in MB.
  6. Click Apply changes.
