Configuring database high availability using Microsoft SQL Server AlwaysOn

Before you install BlackBerry UEM, decide if you want to configure high availability for the UEM database. Database high availability allows you to retain database service and data integrity if issues occur with the UEM database.

You can use one of the following Microsoft SQL Server features for database high availability:
  • AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instances (FCI) for Microsoft SQL Server
  • AlwaysOn Availability Groups for Microsoft SQL Server

If you want to use an AlwaysOn feature, you must complete configuration steps before you install UEM. This section gives you instructions for configuring database high availability using AlwaysOn.
