    Lock an app.

When you or your administrator locks an app, you prevent anyone from opening it.

    1. Click Lock app.
    2. Click Lock.

    Unlock an app.

Apps can become locked for different reasons, including authentication or compliance issues. Also, you or your administrator can lock an app. To unlock an app you need to use an unlock key or QR code.

If your organization uses UEM 12.21 Quick Fix 1 (February 2025) or later, the unlock key can be used with any BlackBerry Dynamics app on the device. The key expires after it is used to unlock a BlackBerry Dynamics app. You must generate a new key for each app that you want to unlock.

    1. Click Unlock app. An unlock key, QR code icon, and expiration is displayed.
    2. Optionally, tap the QR code.
    3. On your device, open the app and complete one of the following tasks:
      • Type the unlock key. Do not include the dashes.
      • Tap Scan QR code, tap Allow to allow permissions, and scan the QR code.
    4. Click Close.

    Delete app data.

When you delete app data, you remove all data stored by the app but the app is not deleted. You will need to reactivate the app using an access key.

    1. Click Delete app data.
    2. Click Delete.
