Enable persistent chat

You must enable the persistent chat on
BEMS
 before you can enable users to create and participate in group discussions.
You must have a supported version of
Skype for Business
 configured in your environment before enabling persistent chat. For more information, see the BEMS Compatibility Matrix.
  1. On the computer that hosts
    BEMS
    , in a text editor, open the
    GoodConnectServer.exe.config
     file. By default, the file is located in
    <
    drive
    >:\Program Files\BlackBerry\BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Server\Good Connect\
    .
  2. Search for the following key and change the value to true:
    <add key="ENABLE_PERSISTENT_CHAT” value="true" />
    . The key value is case sensitive.
  3. Save the file.
  4. Restart the
    Good Technology Connect
     service.
