API Date/Time Fields Standardized to UTC Format: All API endpoints now return date/time fields in standardized UTC format instead of local server time or mixed time zone formats.
New Format
- UTC Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss[.sss]Z
- Time Zone: UTC+0 (GMT)
- Example: 2025-01-15 14:30:25.123Z
Applications consuming API responses that contain date/time fields must be updated to handle the new UTC format.
Action Required- Review your integrations: Identify any code that processes date/time fields from BlackBerry AtHoc API responses.
- Update date parsing logic: Modify your applications to expect and parse UTC formatted timestamps.
- Test with different time zones: Verify your applications correctly handle UTC timestamps regardless of your organization time zone settings.
This change affects all date/time fields returned by any BlackBerry AtHoc API endpoint, including but not limited to:- Created dates
- Modified dates
- Scheduled dates
- Event timestamps
