Create a new connection to Microsoft Entra ID

Before configuring the Microsoft Entra ID integration, you must have:
  • Administrator access to both Microsoft Entra ID and BlackBerry AtHoc
  • Understanding of your organization's user data structure in Microsoft Entra ID
  • Required credentials for your Microsoft Entra ID tenant:
    • Tenant ID
    • Client ID
    • Client Secret
  • Knowledge of which user attributes you want to synchronize
  1. Log in to BlackBerry AtHoc as an Enterprise Administrator or System Administrator.
  2. Click The Settings icon.
  3. On the Settings screen, click Sync User Data from External Systems in the Users section.
  4. On the External Systems screen, click New.
  5. On the New Integration dialog, complete the following required fields:
    1. Sync Name: Enter a unique name. This field has a maximum of 100 characters.
    2. Sync Description: (Optional) Add details about the sync purpose. This field has a maximum of 300 characters.
    3. Base URL: Enter the base URL for your Entra ID instance.
  6. In the Integration Settings section, click Add Value and enter the following key-value pairs:
    1. Tenant ID: Your Microsoft Entra ID tenant identifier.
    2. Client ID: The application ID registered in your Microsoft Entra ID account.
    3. Client Secret: The secret key for authentication.
  7. Click Test Connection to verify the connection works.
  8. Click Save.
