The Docs REST API uses REST calls to support:

• Document storage in an organization's existing repositories
• Authorized users access to manage their user-defined repositories using the Docs Self-Service web console to perform the following actions:
  • Search for user-defined repositories
  • Search for a specific user-defined repository
  • Create, update, and delete user-defined repositories
