For the widest compatibility, it is recommended that you follow these instructions. If you choose to use custom partitions outside of these instructions, note that additional storage may be needed to meet BlackBerry Workspaces Server logging and installation requirements. For more information, contact your BlackBerry Professional Services representative.
From the boot screen, select Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Select Installation Destination.
On the Installation Destination screen, click the 100 GiB hard drive for the OS installation and ensure that no other hard drives are selected. In the Storage Configuration section, select Custom , and then click Done.
Create a new partition. Click +.
Add the following Mount Point, and click Add Mount.
In the Mount Point dropdown, select /boot.
In the Desired Capacity field, enter 1024 MiB.
Click +.
Add the following Mount Point, and click Add Mount.
In the Mount Point dropdown, select swap.
In the Desired Capacity field,enter 4 GiB.
Click +.
Add the following Mount Point, and click Add Mount.
In the Mount Point dropdown, select /.
In the Desired Capacity field,enter 100 GiB.
The partition table match the configuration in the following image:
Click Done. Review and accept the changes.
On the main page, select Network & Host Name.
Select your network interface, and click Configure.
On the IPv4 Settings tab, configure the network settings by entering the static IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers for your environment.
Click Save, and then Done.
On the main page, click Root Password.
Create a strong password, and then select the Allow root SSH login with password check box.
Click Done.
Install Red Hat, select Begin Installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
