Create a custom DDM payload profile

Create a dedicated custom DDM payload profile for each Apple DDM feature that you want to control. For macOS devices, only DDM settings that use the device channel are supported. User channel settings are not currently supported.
Review the Apple Declarative Device Management (DDM) settings and find the details for the Apple DDM feature that you want to control. When you follow the steps below, you must use a valid declaration type and payload from the Apple DDM schema. Invalid payload content can cause unpredictable device behavior, including the removal of DDM configurations.
  1. In the BlackBerry UEM management console, on the menu bar, click Policies and profiles > Custom > Custom DDM payload.
  2. Click The Add icon..
  3. Type a name and description for the profile.
  4. In the Declaration type field, specify the string for the Apple DDM declaration type (for example, com.apple.configuration.intelligence.settings).
You can specify only one declaration type per custom DDM payload profile.
  5. Select the device types that you want the profile to apply to.
  6. On the appropriate device tab, in the Payload field, paste the JSON payload for the declaration. Include the payload object contents only. Do not include the Type, Identifier, or ServerToken properties.
To view a sample payload, click the Sample payload link.
  7. Click Save.

When you save the profile, UEM generates a unique identifier that can be viewed in the Identifier field when you open or edit the profile. You can use the unique identifier value when another custom DDM declaration needs to reference this profile.

Assign the profile to users and groups.
