Connecting BlackBerry UEM to Microsoft Entra ID

Microsoft Entra ID is the Microsoft cloud computing service for deploying and managing apps and services. You must connect BlackBerry UEM to Entra if you want to use BlackBerry UEM to deploy iOS apps managed by Microsoft Intune.

In a BlackBerry UEM Cloud environment, if your organization uses Microsoft Active Directory instead of Entra Active Directory, to connect with Entra you must install the most recent version of the BlackBerry Connectivity Node to allow BlackBerry UEM Cloud to access your company directory. For instructions, see the BlackBerry UEM Configuration content.

Note: You must use the Microsoft Entra ID account with appropriate permissions to complete these tasks. For more information about account permissions, see KB 50341.

BlackBerry UEM supports configuring only one Entra tenant. To connect BlackBerry UEM to Entra, you perform the following actions:

Create a Microsoft Entra ID account.

If you use BlackBerry UEM Cloud and your organization uses Entra Active Directory, configure BlackBerry UEM Cloud to synchronize with Entra Active Directory.

If your organization uses an on-premises Microsoft Active Directory and you want to use BlackBerry UEM to deploy apps managed by Microsoft Intune apps, Synchronize Microsoft Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID.

Create an enterprise endpoint in Entra to allow the on-premises BlackBerry UEM or BlackBerry UEM Cloud to connect to Microsoft Intune.
