Permit the Windows domain user account to log in to the Microsoft SQL Server and assign permissions
You must create a Microsoft SQL Server login and assign BlackBerry Configuration Database permissions so that the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System can connect to and update the data in the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
- In the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, expand Security.
- Right-click Logins. Click New User.
- In the Login name field, type the name of the Windows domain user account that you created to install the BlackBerry MVS software (for example, MVSAdmin).
- In the Default database name drop-down list, click the name of the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
- In the left pane, click User Mapping and select the name of the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
- In the Database role membership section, select the db_owner check box.
- Click OK.
