The BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Software and the BlackBerry Pushcast Plug-in for Microsoft® PowerPoint® communicate using web services over HTTPS. The web services authenticates a BlackBerry Pushcast Software user with a user name and password and authorizes the user to perform tasks and access data in the BlackBerry Pushcast Software. The web services also retrieve permissions, user lists, and group lists from the BlackBerry Pushcast Software, publish content, manage the user enrollment in content, and assign content to users.
