Add a release

Before you begin:

Add a product.

  1. On the vendor portal for the BlackBerry App World™ storefront, in the left pane, click Manage Products.
  2. On the Manage Products screen, in the Releases column, click Add next to the product that you want to add a release to.
  3. On the Export Control screen, complete the instructions.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the Confirmation of Digital Rights screen, perform one of the following actions:
    • If the product does not contain any third-party content, click Next.
    • If the product contains third-party content, select the My product contains third party content checkbox, type the required information, and click Next.
  6. On the User Generated Safeguards screen, perform one of the following actions:
    • If the product does not contain any user-generated content, click Next.
    • If the product contains user-generated content, select the My product supports user generated content checkbox, type the required information, and clickNext.
  7. On the Release Details screen, perform one of the following tasks:

    Upload a .zip file that contains a release.

    1. Click Batch Import Files.
    2. Navigate to the .zip file for the release.
    3. Click Open.
    4. Verify that the release information that appears in the File Bundles table is correct.
    5. If you want to add or remove BlackBerry® devices that the bundle supports, in the Device Support column, click the Edit icon.
    6. If you want to add or remove .cod files from the bundle, in the Files column, click the Edit icon.

    Add a release manually.

    1. Click Add File bundle.
    2. In the Name field, type the name of the bundle.
    3. In the Min. OS field, click the earliest BlackBerry® Device Software version that the bundle supports.
    4. If the bundle does not support all devices,in the Device support column, click the Edit icon and select the devices that the bundle supports.
    5. To specify language support at the bundle level, in the Language Support column, select the languages.
    6. In the Files column, click the Edit icon.
    7. Click Add COD File.
    8. Navigate to a .cod file.
    9. Click Open.
  8. Click Next.
  9. On the Release Summary screen, perform one of the following actions:
    • If you want to submit the product for testing and approval, click Submit for Approval.
    • If you do not want to submit the product for testing and approval, but you want to save the product information, click Save as Draft.
    • If you want to make changes to the release information, click Edit Release.
