Possible cause

Users receive the Server Error in <host_name> Application error message when the version number for Microsoft® ASP.NET is not 2.0.5.xx.

Possible solution

Users must change the version number for Microsoft® ASP.NET to 2.0.5.xx.

1. On the taskbar, click Start > Run.
2. In the Open field, type inetmgr.
3. Click OK.
4. In the left pane, go to Internet Information Services > Web Sites.
5. Right-click the web site that you created for the Chalk Pushcast Software and click Properties.
6. In the ASP.NET tab, in the ASP.NET version list, select 2.0.5.xx.
7. Click OK.
