Encrypting devices and media cards
You can encrypt BlackBerry® devices and media cards to protect content and media files and to prevent unauthorized BlackBerry device users from accessing data files if a device is lost or stolen.
You can protect data that is on media cards by encrypting media cards that you insert into a device. You can choose encryption settings on the device to customize the level of encryption that you want to implement for files that are on a media card. Encryption settings do not affect the performance of the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player. If a user changes the encryption setting, the device encrypts only the content that it receives after the user changes the setting. The content that the device received before the user changed the setting remains unencrypted.
