BlackBerry MDS Connection Service
|
The
BlackBerry MDS Connection Service is a
BlackBerry Enterprise Server component that
exists in an organization's network behind a firewall. The
BlackBerry MDS Connection Service is designed
to provide
BlackBerry Pushcast Player users
with highly secure access to their organization's intranet and the Internet.
The

BlackBerry Pushcast Software
|
The
BlackBerry Pushcast Software
permits authors to create content and send it directly to
the BlackBerry Pushcast Player on devices or to the BlackBerry Pushcast server. The BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Desktop Player and BlackBerry Pushcast Player on BlackBerry®
PlayBook™ tablets retrieve the content from the BlackBerry Pushcast server. BlackBerry Pushcast Desktop Player users can view content
on a computer. BlackBerry®
PlayBook™ tablet users can view content in the BlackBerry Pushcast Player when they have a connection to a wireless network.
The BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Initiator is a
BlackBerry Pushcast Software service that manages the amount of content that the BlackBerry Pushcast Software can send to BlackBerry Pushcast Player users at one time. The BlackBerry Pushcast Initiator determines when the BlackBerry Pushcast Software can send an encrypted notification email message to the BlackBerry Pushcast Player on a device. Devices
use the encrypted notification email message when
BlackBerry device users
download new content or delete existing content.
