Verify that you can import user accounts into the BlackBerry Pushcast Console

You can use the example groups and user accounts that are provided in the User Account Information and Groups for User Accounts sheets in the BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Software User Account Import Template to test the macros to verify that you can import user accounts into the BlackBerry Pushcast Console.

Before you begin: Make sure you that you specify the information for the web services in the Configuration Information sheet in the BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Software User Account Import Template.
  1. In the BlackBerry Pushcast Console, click Administration > Users.
  2. In the Name column, verify that Lisa Perry, Justin Jones, and Ian Dundas do not appear in the list.
  3. Click Administration > Roles and Groups > Manage Groups.
  4. In the Name column, verify the HR, IT, and SALES groups do not appear in the list.
  5. On the Groups for User Accounts sheet, run the ImportGroups macro.
  6. On the User Account Information sheet, run the ImportUsers macro.
  7. Click Administration > Users.
  8. In the Name column, verify that Lisa Perry, Justin Jones, and Ian Dundas appear in the list.
  9. Click Administration > Roles and Groups > Manage Groups.
  10. In the Name column, verify that the HR, IT, and SALES groups appear in the list.
After you finish:
  • Delete the example data in steps 8 and 10 that you imported for the user accounts for your organization from the BlackBerry Pushcast Console.
  • Import the user accounts for your organization into the BlackBerry Pushcast Console.
