Possible cause

The ASP.NET role service and Static Content role service were not installed on the Microsoft IIS server.

Possible solution

1. Perform one of the following tasks to install the role services on the Microsoft IIS server:

   Task	Steps
   Install role services on the Microsoft IIS server using Windows Server 2008 for a one- or two-server installation.	On the BlackBerry Pushcast server, click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. In the left pane, click Roles. In the Web Server (IIS) section, click Add Role Services. In the Role Service list, click the ASP.NET role and Static Content role.
   Install role services on the Microsoft IIS server using Windows Server 2008 for a three-server installation.	On the BlackBerry Pushcast server and the server that you install services for the BlackBerry Pushcast Software on, click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. In the left pane, click Roles. In the Web Server (IIS) section, click Add Role Services. In the Role Service list, click the ASP.NET role and Static Content role.
   Install role services on the Microsoft IIS server using Windows Server 2003.	On the BlackBerry Pushcast server, click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Click Add/Remove Windows Components. Select Application Server. Click Details. Click the role services.

2. Complete the instructions in the wizard to install the role services.
