Chalk Pushcast Player Default Connection Type IT policy rule
Description
This rule specifies the default connection type that the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player should use to connect to the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software.
Default value
The default value is a null value. By default, the Chalk Pushcast Player connects to the Chalk Pushcast Software using the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server. If the Chalk Pushcast Player cannot connect to the Chalk Pushcast Software using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Chalk Pushcast Player tries to connect to the Chalk Pushcast Software using the BlackBerry® Internet Service.
Usage
Change the value to "BES" to configure the Chalk Pushcast Player to connect to the Chalk Pushcast Software using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Change the value to "BIS" to configure the Chalk Pushcast Player to connect to the Chalk Pushcast Software using the BlackBerry Internet Service so data does not go through the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. If you do not choose a value for the rule, a user can change the network connection on the Chalk Pushcast Player.

- Java® based BlackBerry device
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 5.0 SP2 for Microsoft® Exchange or BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP6 for Microsoft Exchange or later with the Chalk Pushcast Player IT policy rules for BlackBerry Enterprise Server that you downloaded from the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Console.
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP2 for IBM® Lotus® Domino® or BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP5 for IBM Lotus Domino or later with the Chalk Pushcast Player IT policy rules for BlackBerry Enterprise Server that you downloaded from the Chalk Pushcast Console.
