The Analytics Service SDK contains two files that your application requires to gather analytics. The .jar file, which contains the library of Analytics Service APIs, and the config.xml file, which specifies configuration settings that your application requires to send data to the data collection server.

When you log in to the Analytics Service web portal and add an application to be tracked, the web portal generates a dcsid for your application. This dcsid is a unique identifier for your application's data. You must specify the dcsid, in lowercase, in the config.xml file for your application so that the data collection server can identify the source of the data.
