Configuring minimum Microsoft SQL Server permissions for the Windows account that is used to run the BlackBerry MVS
The Windows account that you use when you run the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System setup application must have Microsoft SQL Server permissions. However, the setup application requires more permissions to install or upgrade the BlackBerry MVS software than are required to run the BlackBerry MVS. The setup application requires the additional permissions so that it can update the BlackBerry Configuration Database with BlackBerry MVS information.
After the installation or upgrade process completes, you can change the Microsoft SQL Server permissions of the Windows account to the Microsoft SQL Server permissions that the BlackBerry MVS requires to run. When you change the Microsoft SQL Server permissions of the Windows account, you can use Microsoft SQL Server security to restrict the operations that the Windows account can perform on the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
The following table describes the Microsoft SQL Server permissions for the setup application and the Windows account that the BlackBerry MVS uses to run.
