Website for the BlackBerry Pushcast Player

Create a website for the BlackBerry Pushcast Software using Microsoft IIS.

SSL certificate

Add an SSL certificate to the website that you created for the BlackBerry Pushcast Software using Microsoft IIS. Make sure that the FQDN for the SSL certificate matches the FQDN of the server that you installed the BlackBerry Pushcast Software on.

User account for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

Create a Windows user account on the server that you installed the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services on to permit access to the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and store files on the server.

Installation information and login information for your organization's environment

Verify that you have the following system information available:
  • Name of the website that you created using Microsoft IIS
  • Server address for the SMTP server
  • Server address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services that you can verify in a web browser on the server that you install the BlackBerry Pushcast Software on (for example, http://server_domain_name/reportserver)
  • Domain name of the database server
  • User name for the account that you can use to create databases for the Windows Server or Microsoft SQL Server and that can access the web address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • User name, domain name, and password for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Domain name for the website that accesses the BlackBerry Pushcast Console (for example, https://<server_name>.<organization_domain>.com)

Verify that you have the BlackBerry Pushcast Software installation instructions and login information for your organization's environment to complete the installation task.

Microsoft IIS website

Create a Microsoft IIS website and make sure you use port 443 for SSL connectivity.

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

Open a browser and type the web address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services to make sure that the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is installed correctly (for example, http://<sql_server_name>/reportserver.)
