Creating tests and surveys

You can create tests and surveys to add to content that you create. The Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software places the test or survey at the end of the content for the Chalk Pushcast Player users to complete after they view the content. You can only publish tests and surveys if you are assigned to a role that provides you with the appropriate permission. You should make sure that you have the appropriate permissions before you try to publish tests or surveys for the content that you create.

You can add only one test or survey to content. You can specify the types of questions that you want to include and create an introduction for a test or survey. You can create a message that the Chalk Pushcast Player users receive when they finish a test or survey to let them know that the test or survey is complete and if the test is graded, whether they passed the test. You can specify how many times users can try to pass a test and whether the test is graded. If a test is graded, you can specify the percentage of questions that the users must answer correctly to receive a passing grade. You can also specify that the questions for a test or survey are randomized.

You can create the following types of questions for tests or surveys:
  • fill-in-the-blank: users must type an answer in a field.
  • multiple choice: users must select an answer from a list of possible answers.
  • true or false: users must choose between two possible answers.
  • ratings scale: users must select ratings from a list. Ratings scale questions do not have correct answers and you can create the ratings scale questions only for surveys.
