Create a web site for the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software using Microsoft® IIS 6.

SSL certificate

Add an SSL certificate to the web site that you created for the Chalk Pushcast Software using Microsoft IIS 6. Make sure that the FQDN for the SSL certificate matches the FQDN of the server that you installed the Chalk Pushcast Software on.

user account for the reporting service

Create a Windows® user account on the server that you installed the Microsoft® SQL Server® Reporting Services on to permit access to the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and store files on the server.

installation information and login information for your organization's environment

Verify that you have the following system information available:
  • name of the web site that you created using Microsoft® IIS 6
  • server address for the SMTP server
  • server address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services that you can verify in a web browser on the server that you install the Chalk Pushcast Software on (for example, http://server_domain_name/report_server.)
  • domain name of the database server
  • user name for the account that you can use to create databases for the Windows Server® or Microsoft® SQL Server® and that can access the web address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • user name, domain name, and password for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • domain name for the web site that accesses the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Console, for example, https://<server_name>.<organization_domain>.com

Chalk Pushcast Software installation instructions

Verify that you have the Chalk Pushcast Software installation instructions and login information for your organization's environment to complete the installation task.

Chalk.Pushcast.Software.Prerequisites folder

Drag the cps folder from the Chalk.Pushcast.Software.Prerequisites folder to the root directory where you extracted the Chalk Pushcast Software files to and overwrite the cps folder before you install the Chalk Pushcast Software.

Chalk.Pushcast.Software.Installer.zip file

Extract the Chalk.Pushcast.Software.Installer.zip file to the root of the hard drive on the computer you install the Chalk Pushcast Software on.

Microsoft IIS web site

Create a Microsoft IIS web site on port 443.

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

Open a browser and type the web address for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services to make sure the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is installed correctly (for example, http://<sql_server_name>/report_server.).
