Add guides to the workspace
- Display the rulers.
- On the View menu, click Guides > Show Guides.
- Click a ruler and drag a guide onto the workspace. You can select and drag the guide to reposition it, as necessary.
- To remove a guide from the workspace, drag it to a ruler.
- To prevent the guides from being moved, on the View menu, click Guides > Lock Guides.
