Creating content for the licensed channel

After you install the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint, the next steps in the process of creating a licensed channel for the BlackBerry App World™ storefront are to create content for the licensed channel and then publish a draft version of the content. You can view the draft content on a BlackBerry device to make sure that it displays correctly.

You can create content in Microsoft® PowerPoint® and then use the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint to convert the content into a format that BlackBerry device users can view on their devices. You must use the Chalk Pushcast Plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint to perform the following actions:
  • insert audio and video into content so that the audio and video files are converted to a format that the device can read
  • add links to content so that users can send email messages, browse web sites, or make phone calls from within the content
  • add slides, pictures, and text to content
  • add a a test or survey to content so that users can provide feedback about the content or so that you can test users about the content
  • record video and audio

When you finish creating content, you can use the publish feature in the Chalk Pushcast Plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint to create a draft version of the content or publish the content to licensed channel users.
