Sending and receiving content
BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Software users must connect BlackBerry® devices to a wireless network to receive content that authors send to them using the BlackBerry Pushcast Software. Authors can use the BlackBerry Pushcast Software to send encrypted email messages to BlackBerry Pushcast Software users to start content delivery. When users receive the encrypted email message on their devices, the BlackBerry Pushcast Software sends the content to the devices. The BlackBerry Pushcast Software refreshes content when a user opens or updates the page in the BlackBerry Pushcast Player that lists the content.
To view new content that arrives on a device, a user can refresh the page in the BlackBerry Pushcast Player that lists the content. If a BlackBerry Pushcast Software user turns off a device for a long period of time, the BlackBerry Pushcast Software might not deliver encrypted email messages. Also, the BlackBerry Pushcast Software might not deliver content if the encrypted email message is in an email application in the device for a long period of time because the email application deletes the email message. You can view the mobile content delivery report in the BlackBerry Pushcast Console to find out why a content delivery did not complete.
BlackBerry Pushcast Desktop Player users must connect their computers to the internet to view content.
