Submit a request to create a subscription app

Before you begin:
  • Make sure that you have created content that you want to publish to the BlackBerry App World™ storefront before you submit a request to create a subscription app.
  • Make sure that images that you want to upload for icons that display in the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player are in .png format and 80 x 80 pixels.
  1. In the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Console, click Licensed Channel Administration. The following screen shot shows the Licensed Channel Administration page in the Chalk Pushcast Console.

  2. Click BlackBery App World™ Account Configuration . The following screen shot shows the Licensed Channel Account Creation page in the Chalk Pushcast Console.

  3. In the Name of your subscription app section, in the Name field, type a name for the subscription app.
  4. In the Icons for your subscription app section, to the right of the Notification field, click Browse to select the image that you want to use as the icon that appears when licensed channel users receive content.
  5. To the right of the Notification Rollover State field, click Browse to select the image that you want to use as the icon that appears when licensed channel users roll the trackball over the icon. The following image shows how the notification images display on a BlackBerry® device.

  6. To the right of the No Notification field, click Browse to select the image that you want to use as the icon that appears when licensed users do not receive content.
  7. At the right of the No Notification Rollover State field, click Browse to select the image that you want to appear as the icon that sppears when licensed users roll the trackball over the icon that indicates that the user did not receive any new content. The following image shows how the no notification images display on a device.

  8. In the End user license agreement section, click Browse to select the EULA agreement that you want to appear when BlackBerry® device users start the subscription app for the first time.
  9. Click Submit.
After you finish: Open the email message that you receive when the subscription app is available in the Chalk Pushcast Console.
