Install the Chalk Pushcast Software

  1. On the Chalk™ Pushcast™ server, navigate to the folder that contains the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software installation files that you extracted when you saved the Chalk Pushcast Software files to the computer.
  2. Double-click the cps folder.
  3. Double-click the chalksetup.exe file.
  4. Perform one of the following tasks:

    Task

    If a check mark appears beside all of the Chalk Pushcast Software components in the list, install the Chalk Pushcast Software.

    Click Next.

    If an "x" appears beside a required Chalk Pushcast Software component in the list, install the required Chalk Pushcast Software component.

    1. Locate and install the required Chalk Pushcast Software components on your computer.
    2. Click Refresh.
    3. Click Next.
  5. In the Setup information section, in the Website list, click the web site that you created for the Chalk Pushcast Software using Microsoft® IIS 6.
  6. In the Domain name field, type the domain name for the web site that you created for the Chalk Pushcast Software.
  7. In the Maximum file size (in MB) field, click the arrow icons to select the maximum file size for content.
  8. In the Maximum upload time (in minutes) list, click the arrow icons to specify the maximum upload time.
  9. Click Next.
  10. In the Chalk Pushcast Software certificate section, perform one of the following tasks:

    Create the default certificate that appears in the Chalk Pushcast Software Certificate field.

    Click Next.

    Select a certificate from the local computer.

    1. Click Select Certificate.
    2. Click Next.
  11. In the SMTP domain field, type the name for the SMTP server that you want to use to send notification email messages from the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Console to the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player.
  12. Click Next.
  13. In the Database details section, in the Database server name field, type the database server name.
  14. In the Database name field, type the database name.
  15. In the Authentication list, click the authentication type.
  16. In the User name field, type the user name that you can use to log in to the Microsoft® SQL Server® database.
  17. In the Password field, type a password.
  18. Click Next.
  19. In the Reporting services section, in the Address field, type the web address for the Microsoft® SQL Server® Reporting Services.
  20. In the User name field, type a user name.
  21. In the Domain name field, type the domain name for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services that you installed on the Chalk Pushcast server.
  22. In the Password and Confirm password fields, type a password for the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
  23. Click Next.
After you finish: If the installation does not complete, click Reconfigure to complete steps 4 to 23 again for a Chalk Pushcast Software component that has an "x" next to its name in the system verification list.
