Create a Chalk Pushcast Software user
The Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software creates a temporary password for each new Chalk Pushcast Software user. The user receives a temporary password in a notification email message. After the Chalk Pushcast Software authenticates the temporary password, the user must select a new password to access the Chalk Pushcast Software.
- In the Chalk Pushcast Console, click Users.
- Click Create User.
- In the Basic section, in the First name field, type the user's first name.
- In the Last name field, type the user's last name.
- In the E-mail field, type the user's email address.
- In the Preferred language list, select the language that the user communicates in.
- In the Credentials section, in the Username field, type a user name. Make sure that the user name is unique.
- In the Enter New Password field, type a password for the user. A password must contain at least seven alphanumeric characters, one uppercase character, and one number.
- In the Confirm New Password field, type the password again.
- To assign roles to the user, in the Roles section, in the Available field, select one or more roles that you want to assign to the user.
- Click the left arrow icon.
- To assign groups to the user, in the Groups section, in the Available field, select one or more groups that you want to assign to the user.
- Click the left arrow icon.
- To prevent the user from changing how you send content to the user, in the Delivery section, select the Disabled for end user modification check box.
- In the Delivery to section, select a delivery option.
- To use the Chalk Pushcast Software to send the notification email message to the user, in the Notifications section, in the Notification Options section, select the check box beside a notification.
- To prevent a user from changing the notification setting, select the Disabled for end user notification check box.
- In the Mobile Device section, in the Device Type list, select None or BlackBerry.
- Click Save.
