About this guide

This guide is a Beta document, and is subject to change.

This guide is intended to provide you with information about the elements and attributes that the BlackBerry Browser supports. Where possible, the guide provides links to the specifications in which the element is described.

Due to implementation differences between the WebKit browser engine used in BlackBerry 6 and the rendering engine used in the previous versions of BlackBerry Browser, as well as the ongoing changes to the HTML 5 specification, this guide might not reflect all the functionality that the BlackBerry Browser supports at the time of release. Where possible, support of an element or attribute is verified before being added to the guide, and as a result, some supported functionality might not yet be documented, or changes in functionality might not be updated. As always, you should fully test your web content by using the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator to make sure that your web content appears and behaves as you intended.

Please feel free to provide feedback about the usefulness of the content in this guide and check back regularly for the most up-to-date information.

Updates to this guide can be tracked by checking the Revision History.
