Specify a tiled image as the background for the message list date bar

  1. Click the Message List button at the left of the Inspector pane.
  2. Click the Background thumbnail image.
  3. Navigate to the image to use as the background pattern for the messages list date bar.
  4. To specify the tile and border portions of the image, click the Tile Image button.
  5. To specify the limits of the central pattern tile, in the Tile Image dialog box, drag each of the border guides the appropriate distance, or manually specify the thickness for the left, right, top, and bottom borders, in pixels, in the appropriate fields.
