Before you use the BlackBerry® Smartphone Simulator to test your theme, you must specify the screen resolution, the BlackBerry device model, and the BlackBerry® Device Software version to simulate. The BlackBerry Composer populates the list of models based on the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator that you installed on your computer and the resolution that you select.

1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
2. Click the Simulator tab.
3. For each BlackBerry device screen resolution, specify the following values:
   • Resolution
   • Model
   • OS Version
4. To start the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator when the BlackBerry Composer starts, select the Load simulator on startup check box.
