Users receive a password prompt while watching videos

Possible cause

The security timer for the password prompt on the BlackBerry® device is set to appear at regular intervals. The intervals are shorter than the length of the video.

Possible solution

  1. Log in to the BlackBerry® Administration Service.
  2. On the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand Policy.
  3. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To create a new IT policy, select Create an IT Policy.
    • To change an existing IT policy, select Manage IT Policies.
  4. Select the IT policy that you want to change.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, select Edit IT Policy.
  6. At the top of the screen, select the Security policy group tab.
  7. At the bottom of the screen, change the value for the Allow Resetting of Idle Timer to Yes.
  8. At the bottom of the screen, click Save All.
