Sending and receiving content

Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software users must connect BlackBerry® devices to a wireless network to receive content that authors send to them using the Chalk Pushcast Software. Authors can use the Chalk Pushcast Software to send encrypted email messages to Chalk Pushcast Software users to start content delivery. When users receive the encrypted email message on their devices, the Chalk Pushcast Software sends the content to the devices. The Chalk Pushcast Software refreshes content when a user opens or updates the page in the Chalk Pushcast Player that lists the content.

To view new content that arrives on a device, a user can refresh the page in the Chalk Pushcast Player that lists the content. If a Chalk Pushcast Software user turns off a device for a long period of time, the Chalk Pushcast Software might not deliver encrypted email messages. Also, the Chalk Pushcast Software might not deliver content if the encrypted email message is in an email application in the device for a long period of time because the email application deletes the email message. You can view the mobile content delivery report in the Chalk Pushcast Console to find out why a content delivery did not complete.
