When a user opens the
Chalk Pushcast Player for the first time on a
BlackBerry® device
that uses the
BlackBerry®
Internet Service, the screen
displays a message while the connection is established.
Impact: When users run the
Chalk Pushcast Player for the first time, they experience a brief delay.
Workaround: None.

When using
BlackBerry devices paired
with a
Bluetooth®
enabled device, if users play an audio file on the
Chalk Pushcast Player,
Bluetooth has
to be manually turned on.
Impact: Users have to manually turn on
Bluetooth on
their devices to listen to an audio file.
Workaround: Manually turn on
Bluetooth.

If a user presses the menu button when video is playing, the
video stops and the audio continues to play.
Impact: When users are viewing video, if they press the
menu key, they might not be able to view the video.
Workaround: On the
BlackBerry device, close the
video and then click the video icon to view it again.

If users delete the
Chalk Pushcast Player from the home screen of their devices, and try to reinstall the
Chalk Pushcast Player, an error message "Chalkboard already exists on device" displays.
Impact: Deleting the
Chalk Pushcast Player from the home screen does not delete it from the device. The error
message to reinstall
Chalk Pushcast Player displayed might confuse users.
Workaround: None.

On a
BlackBerry Storm
smartphone, if encryption is turned on and content protection is set to the
highest value, and if the device is rotated while playing a video, the audio
and video might be unsynchronized and unclear.
Impact: Users might not be able to watch videos.
Workaround: On the
BlackBerry device, turn
encryption off and set content protection to a lower value.

When a user runs the
Chalk Pushcast Player, the volume is not maintained when moving from audio to video,
video to audio, or video to video.
Impact: The volume changes when the content changes
from audio to video, video to audio, or video to video.
Workaround: The user might need to adjust the volume.

If the interval for a password prompt is shorter than the
length of the video while playing an audio file or video on the
Chalk Pushcast Player, users receive a password prompt that causes the device to lock.
Impact: Users might not be able to play audio or video
on the
Chalk Pushcast Player without an interruption.
Workaround: Perform one of the following actions:

When users play an audio file in the
Chalk Pushcast Player on a
BlackBerry 8830
with
BlackBerry®
Device Software earlier than 4.5, the fast forward key does not work.
Impact: Users might not be able to use the fast forward
key in the
Chalk Pushcast Player.
Workaround: Upgrade the
BlackBerry®
Device Software to 4.5 or later.

When using devices with
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 or earlier, there is no audio when users use a headset to
hear audio for content in the
Chalk Pushcast Player.
Impact: Users might not be able to hear audio while
using headsets.
Workaround: Upgrade the
BlackBerry Device Software to a version later than 4.2.2.
