Credit card

HTML sample: Credit card data elements

When a user saves credit card information in the BlackBerry® Wallet, the BlackBerry Wallet checks the format of the credit card number and the CVV to verify that the format adheres to the specifications for that credit card type. This check does not verify that the credit card is valid. Web developers can add their own credit card verification when creating web pages.

Map a data element to an existing id attribute

If your web form already includes an id attribute with a value that is not the same as the BlackBerry® Wallet data element, you can map the existing value to the BlackBerry Wallet data element.

Mapping the value of the id attribute might be useful in cases when replacing the value requires changing the way the web site is validated.

  1. Add the following element and attributes to your web page:
    <input type ="hidden" id="data_element" value="current_value" />

  2. Change the value of the id attribute to the BlackBerry Wallet data element that you want to use to populate the field.
  3. Change the value of the value attribute to the existing value of the field's id attribute.
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for each id attribute value that you want to map.
