Configure minimum Microsoft SQL Server permissions for the Windows account that is used to run the BlackBerry MVS

You can configure the minimum Microsoft SQL Server permissions for the Windows account that the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System uses to run.
  1. Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Expand Microsoft SQL Server > Security > Logins.
  3. Right-click the Windows account that the BlackBerry MVS uses to run. Click Properties.
  4. Click User Mapping.
  5. Click the Map checkbox for the BESMgmt database.
  6. Change the Database role membership to rim_db_mvs_apps.
  7. Delete all other database role memberships.
  8. Click OK.

If you remove the db_owner role, before you upgrade the BlackBerry MVS software, you must add the db_owner role to the Windows account again.
